The Bill (Reg. No. 0939) specifies Article 39 of the Law "On Legal Principles of Civil Protection". Inter alia, it determines more precisely the authorities of the State Inspection of Civil Protection and Technical Safety that controls the said field, and its officials.
The Bill envisages that the director of the government body on State inspection of civil protection and technical safety holds, at the same time, the post of the Chief State Inspector of Ukraine on Inspection of Civil Protection and Technical Safety.
The effective Law is to be supplemented with the regulation which states that the government body on State inspection of civil protection and technical safety within the authorized central executive body on civil protection is authorized to "conduct an inspection of central and local executive bodies, local self-government bodies, enterprises, establishments and organizations, irregardless of the form of their ownership, in accordance with legislation on civil protection and technical safety".
The Committee members believe that implementation of the Bill "will contribute to enhancement of the emergency situations prevention system at the high-danger and potential danger objects".
